Sports and Young Athletes

Are you taking steps toward preventing injuries and enhancing performance with your student athlete?

Concerned Parents of Young Athletes Program

For All Middle and High School Student Athletes

Student athletes are tested pre-season with a medical exam: eyes, ears, nose and throat, etc. This provides very little neuromusculoskeletal information. Most potential injuries are biomechanical in nature, and much can be done before the season begins to reduce the likelihood of injury. A biomechanical exam is also important before an athlete enters the weight room.

A Sports Biomechanical Exam detects structural imbalances, weaknesses and sites of potential injury. A detailed, customized corrective program is then designed to strengthen and balance these defects before injuries occur as well as to enhance performance.

This examination, with full detailed report, is NO CHARGE and NO OBLIGATION for all middle school and high school athletes ($150 value).

A Sports Biomechanical Exam Consists of:
  • Feet Exam
  • Knee Exam
  • Joint Mobility Tests
  • Leg Lengths
  • Digital Foot Scan
  • Postural Analysis
  • Surface EMG
  • Biomechanical X-rays
  • Detailed Report

Dr. Kirk Asks some important questions of interest to Moorestown residents - Chiropractor Moorestown Dr. Kirk Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
